In addition to teaching at university, I also teach English and History of Art to A-level, and can also help with general essay-writing skills and university support (BA and MA).

Having studied English to M.Phil. level, before turning to a PhD in History of Art, I'm equally comfortable working with text and image. I've worked with people from a range of backgrounds, of varying ages and qualifications. Though I'm London-based, I'm also happy working over Skype if required.

I specialise in university entrance, including selection, UCAS applications and practice interviews. Since I started teaching in 2008, all the students I've helped have received offers from their first-choice university, including Oxford, Cambridge and UCL.

I think this is primarily because I try to help students build on their passions, think more deeply, and develop as people, in the belief that learning should be a lifelong project, not a means to an end. Fortunately, I've found that good exam results and wished-for university offers are almost inevitably a side-effect.
